E is for

Anyone else having trouble keeping up with blogs? 'Cause uh, I'm not or anything like that, I was just uh ... wondering if you were. I'm cool, though ... I've got this thing in the bag. :/

Here we are at letter E

Some fave characters that begin with E:

Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice. Anyone out there not love Elizabeth Bennett? She must be the best female main character ever in literature. So complex, and smart, yet playful and poised at the same time. A free thinker, like moi, so Lizzy and I got along just fine as I read P&P. My copy of P&P is a small paperback that is so old the cover is gray and worn, and the price on the front cover says 25 cents. It was my mom's when she was a girl, and this book is probably my most cherished of all my books.

And for my next fave E character:

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon! Who is your fave E character? Are you keeping up with the A-Z blogging? Please share ...

I'm way behind on visiting everyone else's blogs and haven't even commented on all the ones I have made it to - There should be two separate A-Z challenges: posting from A-Z and bloghopping between A-Z posts!

Yep Elizabeth was my fave in P & P too :) Um, of course I'm NOT having trouble keeping up with blogs. Are you serious??? ;o)

Yes, keeping up with blogs is a challenge indeed!

Oh man, I love Elf so much it's ridiculous! The first time I ever watched that movie, I laughed til I cried!

Oh Elf! Elizabeth Bennett was a character well before her time - head-strong, determined and a feminist. Me too. I'm doing my best to get to everyone but it's impossible! (So far)

I'm barely keeping up with A-Z. Lots more letters to go!

Now that you've put the fabulous Elf in my head, I can't think of any other E characters!

Yes, I'm having trouble keeping up and I'm not even participating.

Since you mentioned Elf, that made me think of the Elves from Lord of the Rings. They were my favorite "group" of people.

I'm behind in blog reading, of course. Trying to read the already-I-follow-crowd while hopping to unknown blog territory is challenging. Oh my...

Some of my favorite E characters:

EDDI MURPHY
ELMO
ELVIS
ELVIRA-(Hey! I posted about her today.)

I'm not too far behind, a couple of days, but I'll have to do a bit of catching up, not knowing how much time I can get online over the weekend.

And Miss Elizabeth is such a tremendous character, in book or film.

As to Elf... well, I despise Will Ferrell, so...

Pk, thanks for the laugh! Elf is one of my favorite movies. My kids and I will watch it even if it's not Christmas time. :)

I love Elizabeth Bennett!

And blogs... well, I've got 412 waiting in Google Reader, and I really should make more of an effort to read brnad new blogs, and visit the people who have commented on mine... but apart from that, everything's great here!

I'm used to blogging once a week, so this challenge has really been a challenge, and keeping up with blog reading? Forget about it.

I LOVE Elizabeth Bennett. Great "E".

(And I'm NOT going to say Edward. Just won't go there :)

Glad you're going back to a classic!

Love Elf. One of my all time favorite movies.

I had all my post ready months ago but I admit keeping up with commenting is a bit over whelming.
Loved your E post.

Yeah. I'm having a little trouble keeping up with blogs. But just a little...

I don't Jane Austen novels (I've read them but I just don't like them) but I tend to like the film adaptations. Elizabeth Bennett is a great character. I particularly enjoyed Kiera Knightley's performance.

And Elf... Oh yeah. LOVE that movie.

Elf is one of my FAVORITE movies. I own the DVD. I'm also having trouble keeping up with blog writing and blog reading!

I had issues coming up with an E, so I did a grab bag of what Google said when I typed it in.

I really liked the movie Pride and Prejudice, but could never ever make it through the book.

Elf rocks!
Hey, I still have seventy blogger buddies to visit today. No pressure.

And it's so easy to get behind. Some days I can barely keep up with just the people's blogs who comment on mine, but it's good fun to read what I can. :)

Great E characters!

E would be a tough one for me, but you sure picked two great ones.

I didn't even manage to get on the A to Z linky list. LOL But I am still doing. I love pride and prejudice, I've reread it at least 4 times.

Elf rocks! I tried P&P as a teenager, but couldn't get into it. I really should try it again one of these days :)

Great E. And yes, I'm having trouble but I'm trying hard to keep up with a group of people who have been kind enough to visit me every day.

I'm having trouble, too as I am preparing to move next week. Yikes! I love E Bennett, too. The 1995 miniseries rules! Colin Firth is Mr. Darcy and Jennifer Ehle, Elizabeth for all time.

Hope you are well, sorry I haven't been by in so long.

I'm slipping behind. Hopefully I'll catch up by Sunday :-)

And yes, Elizabeth Bennett is a girl after my own heart :-)

I can't imagine how you will get through another alphabet this year, but you are making a grand start !! I think I missed a couple of letters, but here goes "E" :

Eve Dallas, from JD Robb's IN DEATH series, All About Eve, a great Broadway show and then film, or perhaps Elmore Leonard and his pulp fiction ??

You could not have chosen a better lady to represent the letter E than Lizzy. She has and will always be my hero, a masterful character. :D
