Hey there, blogosphere! I'd say so far this A-Z challenge is a smashing success! So many fun, creative peeps out there and it's so great meeting new ones and cherishing old ones.
In keeping with my fave character theme, I give you two fave characters that start with the letter F :
Dr. Frazier Crane
He was my fave character on the 1980s TV sitcom, Cheers, and was so popular that he got his own successful spinoff, Frazier (played by Kelsey Grammar)... the only character from Cheers who did have a successful spinoff. What did I love about Frazier? He had such a dry personality... proper, refined, polished. But what made him such a hit, is seeing him in real world situations and conflicts that made him step outside that polished persona and show his true colors. It was unexpected, out of character, and insanely funny.
I leave you with a Frazier quote from his sitcom, Frazier, where he gave psychiatric advice on the radio in Seattle:
[responding to a caller] Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.
LOL! Love him.
And for the kid in me, another fave character that starts with F ....
Falcor from The Neverending Story. Because who doesn't love a luck dragon? I've got a special spot in my heart for Falcor because my dog looks exactly like him:
Yep, what can I say, I'm a mini-van mom. ;)
Thanks for stopping by! Have any F characters you want to share? Or anything at all? Go for it! I love reading your comments! :)

Aww, your dog is gorgeous! <3 I love Frasier too!
Great F post, picture of dog adorable and Fraizier a big hit here.
Yvonne.
I loved the luck dragon as a kid. He reminded me of my dog too. Thanks for posting.
Your dog looks like a real character.
Wagging Tales
Frasier Crane - love the character. Every episode was a gem of clever writing. I don't know Falcor but your dog does resemble him:-)
(Visiting from A-Z blogging challenge)
I watch Frasier seasons 1-8 on repeat forever and ever! The best sitcom for me ever!!! Ever! LOL!
Awwwww Falcor!! Of course!! Love the bit when he sneezes and throws the poor boy off his tree! So cute that your dog looks like him! Take care
x
I love Frasier too, but I can't watch some of the episodes - high farce makes me cringe so bad I can't enjoy the humour!
I like Ford Prefect; tooling around the universe cadging free lifts. He also saves Arthur Dent, although I'm not so sure that's a good thing.
Good choice for the 'F' word of the day. Although I can't get past my naughty ones.
How about Frankenstein?! Both the creator and the monster. That was a fascinating dynamic!! :)
Happy Friday!!
I didn't watch Frasier until it was in syndication. I always thought he looked so stuffy.
But then I started watching when child #2 was a baby and nothing else was on TV and loved it. The stuffy had become funny and Frasier and Niles now make me laugh.
Falcor - what a cute canine! For some reason I have always liked the name Fiona - it obviously turns up in British films, but I was also able to use it for a minor character in my WIP. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, PK!
The Neverending Story is one one of my favorites. Absolutely loved Falcor. Great name!
The only name I can think of right now is Finkle. *shrugs
Ah...I miss Frazier. Great excerpt to show his personality.
Frasier and Falcor. Awesome. Is your dog's name Falcor? They really do look a lot alike. =)
Funny Frasier quote. And yes, your dog does look like Falcor. Bet your kids dig that.
Are those your kids? They look JUST like you!
I used to get Falcor and Trogdor mixed up when I was younger.
Yep. I loved Frazier, too. :)
LOL, great Frasier quote!!
I never watched Frazier, but I used to love Neverending Story!!
Ah, Frazier - happy memories of Friday evenings spent watching it with my son while his sister was in bed - a bit of 'us' time. I think it's the cleverest sitcom I've ever seen and could watch it again and again. :-) LindaK
I have been watching a hour of Frasier every morning and it still holds up as one of the all time greats. My favorite is the one where Frazier thought the monkey was the killer his dad had been looking for all the years.
I love it! Dr Frasier Crane is one of my favs. I must admit that I've never seen the 'Neverending Story', but who wouldn't love such a cutie?
I love both of them! Great show and GREAT movie! I finally let my daughter watch The Neverending Story last year (because I couldn't wait any more), but fast-forwarded through the scene where the wolf jumps out of the door. It gave me nightmares at her age!
*Raises hand sheepishly*. My name is Sarah and I've never seen The NeverEnding Story :-(
It's Falcor??? OMGosh, all my life I've been saying Valcor!
great post! I loved that show (Frazier).
