Dream Destination

This weekend Julie Flanders and Lexa Cain are hosting a jetsetting good time. Starting yesterday, bloggers have been posting their ultimate dream destinations. And there's still time to sign up and join the fun, so stop by and sign up at Julie's or Lexa's.

(BTW... it's Julie's birthday today, so be sure to wish her a happy one. :) )

Also today, Milo James Fowler is hosting the Tis More Blessed event, which will continue every Friday this month. Authors around the globe are offering up free copies of their books that YOU can win. Be sure to head over and check it out. My book may or may not be there. Just sayin'.

Okay so for my DREAM DESTINATION ...

I'm dying to get to New Zealand. I've always wanted to visit, but after seeing the first LOTR movie on the big screen, I knew I had to get there for sure. And I've only heard good things about the country since.

I'm a total outdoor girl, so the thought of hiking the countryside, hang-gliding over mountains, breathing all that fresh southern hemisphere air-- it'd be a dream come true. And seeing some of the places LOTR was filmed would be fantastic. (Yes I know Alex has the same dream... *highfive Alex*)

I'd hoped to go this year since I just turned 40, but the cost of releasing a book kinda took its place. Hubby and I decided to wait another year when he's almost 40, and make it a Bucket List trip for both of us. I can't wait.

So that's it. How about you? Are you participating in the blog hop? If not, where is your dream destination? Don't forget to stop by Milo's blog to enter for some free books!

That's right! We'll go together and visit all of the LOTR sites.
My books just might be on Milo's list as well...

Great idea - you and Alex can go together! What an awesome place to visit, and you could meet up with Kate Larkindale (my CP) and Rhonda Albom (both blog-hop partipants). I'm sure they'd love to show you around! Great pick, PK! (And thank for the info about Julie's birthday!)

That's awesome you and hubby want to go to the same place. That's why I've never gone back to Alaska, hubby just isn't into it! But I'm still going! LOL

New Zealand looks and sounds lovely. Yes, I'd like to go there too.

Oh, thank you for the birthday wishes, how sweet! And it's great you are taking part in Milo's event, I have to do some tweeting for that. Love his giveaways.

New Zealand is a popular choice and after seeing the posts I can see why. I really want to go there too now LOL. Thanks so much for taking part in the hop, PK!

New Zealand would be a fantastic place to go! Even better yet, you and your hubby BOTH want to go there. Now, all ya have to do is make it happen. Compared to writing a book, it should be a piece of cake.

I have heard that it is beautiful country. I hope you make it soon!

I could totally live in New Zealand! It's so pretty!

New Zealand always looks amazing in pictures. Sounds like a great dream destination. :)

You're not the first to want to go to New zealand. Maybe you should go on a group trip ;-)

I totally want to go there, too! The Engineer went when he was in high school and part of a prestigious orchestra who traveled there and toured the country doing concerts. Life time experience for him. (He played tuba, it's how we met, as band nerds our senior year...)
I'm confused about this give-away, cuz I was at Milo's, and the rafflecopter there was for HIS book, and then there were links for all the other generous authors, and it led me here and now you're saying go there...I think I might need a time travel agency to get this right... ;-)

I hope you see New Zealand someday. There are too many places I want to see for me to name them.

It must be nice to have a partner who enjoys travelling and wants to do it with you. If I'd married my severely agoraphobic "fiancé," I would've had to do all my travelling alone. I probably will never have another relationship, but if I somehow found another man, he'd have to want to travel the world with me. I'm hoping to travel to Iran after I earn my master's degree, and would also love to see India, Armenia, Georgia, Japan, Australia, and much of Europe.

A number of the blogs I've visited so far have picked New Zealand. I agree, it would be a very cool place to visit.

I hope you get to go! I remember learning about it at school and it's always sounded fascinating. Exotic and familiar all at once. The LotR connection doesn't hurt, either.

New Zealand would be awesome. And you could go skydiving and write on your hands: "Sorry" "Mom" like my daughter did! (I freaked because she promised she wouldn't do it! :)

The movies of Peter Jackson (especiall< his early works) made me a huge fan of New Zealand. Would love to go there at least once.

Great post!

I've been to Australia, but not to New Zealand. I would love to go and see where LOTR was filmed. It looks like it has some amazing scenery and would be a true adventure vacation.

New Zealand looks like it would be a beautiful place to visit. Misty and green. Plus, don't they have an area for tourists to visit hobbit holes now? Or did I pull that out of my booty (which is entirely possible)?

Another New Zealand fan. LOTR did a lot for tourism. My choice might surprise people.

I'd love to participate but a woman's got to know her limitations. LOL. Let's see where would I go? I think island hopping in the Bahamas is always fun....
